Members on the Move

Congratulations to the following NAIOP Charlotte members and member companies on their recent achievements:

Beacon Partners – Kristy Venning
Beacon Partners just announced plans to redevelop a 3.5 acre block in South End. The development will encompass two, eight-story office/retail buildings, totaling 320,000 square feet, including 30,000 square feet of shops and restaurants and 100 residential units. Named the RailYard, the project will pay homage to South End’s role in inspiring the construction of Charlotte’s first railroad. Kristy Venning is handling the leasing.

Credit Services Corporation will take 15,142 SF of space at 1401 West Morehead, the historic Coca-Cola building. Kristy Venning with Beacon Partners represented the landlord.

Liberty Property Trust – Bryan Blythe
All Drive Inc. leased the remaining 34,020 square feet at Shopton Ridge, at 5032 Sirona Drive. The 170,100-square-foot speculative warehouse wrapped up this year and All Drive Inc. is scheduled to move in this month. Blythe represented Liberty in the transaction.

Builders Wholesale Flooring LLC has leased 18,391 square feet at Perimeter West. An existing tenant, Liberty assisted Builders Wholesale Flooring with its growth requirements and the company will relocate to its new location, 4045 Perimeter West Drive, in the first quarter of 2017. Blythe represented Liberty and worked directly with the tenant on the transaction.

Wheel Pros renewed its lease for 24,000 square feet at 4045 Perimeter West Drive. Blythe represented Liberty.

Lincoln Harris – Johnny Harris
Johnny Harris, chairman and chief executive officer of Lincoln Harris, has been selected as the Charlotte Business Journal’s 14th annual Business Person of the Year. Harris, who founded the Charlotte-based commercial real estate firm in 2002, has been at the center of many of the region’s biggest business and civic achievements for decades. But his work in 2016 has been remarkable for both its long-term impact and its broad reach. Read more here.

Lincoln Harris – Johno Harris and Tracy Dodson
Lincoln Harris and Cato Corp. plan a mixed-use community dominated by office development on the former site of Knights Stadium in the Fort Mill area. The 350-acre development, called Southbridge, is expected to eventually contain 4.5 million square feet of office space in dozens of buildings that would be mixed with apartments, retail and at least one hotel.
